Three teenagers have been locked up in connection to the shooting death of a Northwest Rankin Middle School student.
On Monday, Jackson police responded to the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old, later identified as Cameron Horne-Crook, in the 3500 block of Ridgecrest Drive. He is reported to have been shot multiple times in the back of a vehicle.
Two days later, JPD, with the assistance of Pearl police and deputies with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, took 17-year-old John Foote and 16-year-old Maxle Mooneyham into custody. On Thursday, police announced that another suspect allegedly involved in the crime, 15-year-old Siyaski Crawford, had been arrested.
All three suspects are charged with murder. Foote was denied bond. The other two teens were given a $1.5 million bond each.
