Three teenagers have been taken into custody in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old in Holmes County.
First reported by WJTV, authorities in Holmes County have confirmed that Darnell Deering, 19, Kengelle Powell, 19, and Marqwon Powers, 16, have been arrested following the killing of Deshun Coleman on Wednesday, December 20.
According to law enforcement, the shooting happened on Highway 17 South at the intersection of Brozville Road and Old Balance Due Rd. Coleman was killed in the gunfire.
An unidentified teen who was riding in a vehicle with Coleman at the time is said to have suffered injuries from the shooting. The teen’s condition is unknown at this time.
Each suspect has been charged with murder.
