3 Doors Down, the famous Mississippi-made rock band, is celebrating its sophomore album, Away From The Sun, with performances at amphitheaters across the U.S., including two in the Magnolia State.
The band will be playing all of the songs from the album throughout the concerts, plus all of their biggest hits. Fans in north Mississippi will have the opportunity to witness the band live at Southaven’s BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove on Friday, August 11 at a time to be determined.
Those in central Mississippi will be able to enjoy 3 Doors Down’s most notable songs on Saturday, September 9 at the Brandon Amphitheater at a time not yet released.
Away From The Sun features “Here Without You,” which reached No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and was certified six-time platinum in the U.S. The lead single, “When I’m Gone,” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 17 weeks on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, becoming one of the longest-running number-one singles.
“‘Away From The Sun’ has always been a personal favorite of mine because of how much it resonated with our country’s service members,” 3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold said. “We are so blessed to be able to celebrate these significant milestones because we were very young making these albums, and we still have so much more life to give our fans.”
Special guest, Candlebox, will be joining 3 Doors Down on the Away From The Sun Anniversary Tour to promote the 30th anniversary of the band and their final farewell studio album being released later this year by Round Hill Records.
