JACKSON, Miss. – A new study has come out showing that Mississippi is one of the worst states for women. WalletHub did the study and examined 15 areas that they believe looked at the needs and expectations of women all across the country.
Mississippi dropped the ball in a lot of areas. the magnolia state was one of the worst when it came to the rate of women who are unemployed, percent of women living in poverty, the number of woman uninsured and woman’s life expectancy at birth.
Mississippi ended up the sixth worst state for women, Louisiana being the absolute worst. The best states for women were Minnesota, Vermont and new Hampshire.
