JACKSON, Miss. – More than $4 million is being invested to revitalize a portion of Jackson.
The money will go to the Gateway Housing Initiative which works to rehabilitate homes in struggling neighborhoods. The area they are focusing on is west Jackson.
To help landscape the homes, the city is using a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grant.
According to WLBT, those who qualify for the homes have met income guidelines, owned the home for at least a year and can show a clear title.
