Mississippi’s annual Pickle Fest is promising to be a big “dill” as officials are expecting this year to be the best yet.
The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Jackson will be hosting the Pickle Fest on Saturday, June 8. Going from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the event will feature various pickle exhibits, live music, over 100 vendors, two water slides, a dunking booth, an obstacle course, a bounce house, and a jousting arena.
“I want to invite the public to come out for what is on track to be the largest Mississippi Pickle Fest yet at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum,” Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gipson said. “Bring the family to enjoy the grounds of the museum and all things pickled!”
In addition, there will be various competitions for pickle-lovers to partake in such as the pickle jar packing contest and the pickle eating contest.
Tickets for the festival are $12 and can be bought at the door. Children under the age of three get in free. Parking will be available at the museum located at 1150 Lakeland Drive on a first-come, first-serve basis. Overflow parking will be located across the street at the North Jackson Baseball Fields with a shuttle running to-and-fro.
The 2024 Mississippi Pickle Festival is sponsored by the Mississippi Agricultural & Forestry Museum Foundation, Southern State Utility, Southern Beverage, Cathead Distillery, Cadence Bank, T-Mobile, Penn’s, Xfinity, and Visit Jackson.
