The 57th Annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo was reported to have record-breaking success by Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson.
This year’s Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo was held on February 11-13 and 16-19 at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds and hosted an abundance of rodeo fans.
The Dixie National successes this year included record ticket sales for the Dixie National Rodeo and record livestock sales at the Sale of Junior Sale of Champions.
Ticket sales were reported as being the highest amount sold in the history of the Dixie National Rodeo, with a total of 41,000 sold for the rodeo alone.
“I am proud of the success of the 2022 Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo. Coordination of an event of this magnitude and caliber takes much planning and work. I want to thank everyone who made this year’s record breaking Dixie National a success,” said Commissioner Gipson.
The 58th Annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo is planned to be held on February 10-18, 2023, and is hoping to break records for the second year in a row.
