When family law attorney Craig Robertson heard the frustrations of friends who were trying to adopt, Robertson and his wife Rachel offered more than a sympathetic ear.
The couple started a Mississippi non-profit adoption agency called Two Million Flowers.
TMF also offers training and counseling to prospective foster and adoptive families. (200 million is the estimated of number of children who are orphaned worldwide). The name 200 Million Flowers was inspired by someone who knows a thing or two about the often desperate needs of orphans.
Craig tells the story.
200 Million Flowers offers training and counseling to equip potential foster and adoptive parents for the task at hand. At any given time in Mississippi, there are roughly a hundred children that are legally available for adoption.
So far, 200 Million Flowers has trained more than 100 new adoptive and foster families on the Gulf Coast and on the Pine Belt.
