Two teenagers have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a shooting that left a man severely injured.
According to Jackson Police, the shooting took place on Porter Street around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. 14-year-old Julius Bonner was taken into custody one day later after police executed a search warrant on the teen.
Officers confirm that an additional juvenile, 16-year-old Antonio Evans, was also arrested in connection to the incident. He was apprehended on Tuesday.
The two teenagers are charged with aggravated assault for the alleyway shooting of Jacoby Jenkins. Police say Jenkins had been picked up by an unidentified individual while on a walk. The individual is reported to have ordered Jenkins out of the vehicle and into an alley where he was struck multiple times by gunfire.
The victim is listed in critical condition at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. At this time, police have not released a motive for the violent attack.
