Two people have been arrested in connection to an elderly Jackson woman being shot and killed while lying on her couch at home.
Officials with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) announced that Alex Bush, 16, and Ramon Thompson, 20, were taken into custody Wednesday morning in connection to the death of Annie Peoples, 80.
Peoples was shot in the head Monday around 11:30 p.m. when a group of individuals got out of a dark-colored vehicle and opened fire on the residence in the 3800 block of Nichols Boulevard. The shooters were attempting to strike another individual they thought was at the home, according to JPD.
At this time, charges being pressed against Bush and Thompson have not yet been released. The two are being held on $1.5 million each.
