Two men on opposite sides of the state are now behind bars for allegedly committing separate sex crimes against minors.
Mississippi Gulf Coast
43-year-old Ellis Cenales was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the Biloxi Police Department found that the man had committed numerous heinous sexual acts against a minor under the age of 16.
Cenales is charged with the production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, touching a child for lustful purposes, and sexual battery. An initial complaint against Cenales was filed in mid-January.
He was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and his bond was set at a total of $1 million.
DeSoto County
Aaron Whitten was taken into custody by deputies with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department on Friday on accusations that he had illicit material containing graphic displays of minors.
An investigation at Whitten’s home in Horn Lake led to the discovery of evidence related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
Aaron Whitten is charged with accessing, possessing, and distributing child pornography. He is being held in the Desoto County Adult Detention Facility and awaits a bond hearing.
