Two people have been arrested after a 3-year-old girl died in Picayune.
According to the Picayune Police Department, officers were dispatched Tuesday morning to a home on Crestwood Drive after receiving a call about the deceased child. On Thursday, the department announced the death had been ruled a homicide with the victim being identified as Aurora Enfinger.

“Foul death was suspected, and the death was later ruled a homicide,” a release from PPD reads. “Detectives obtained a search warrant and began gathering evidence relative to the death. Steroids were also located and recovered.”
Christian and Samantha Enfinger were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Samantha was later charged with capital murder.
“This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the people that thought well of Aurora,” the release continued. “We ask that you pray for those impacted by this horrible crime and never forget this beautiful child.”
PPD’s investigation continues with the department asking anyone with information relevant to the case to call (601) 798-7411.
