A teenager has been locked up for making a bomb threat on the campus of the University of Mississippi.
University Police reports that 19-year-old Catharine Redden was booked into the Lafayette County Jail Tuesday afternoon. She is charged with making a false bomb threat.
Redden is accused of claiming that she placed an explosive and weapons of mass destruction on the university’s campus.
“On Tuesday, University Police received a report about a threat made against campus,” UPD Chief Daniel Sanford said. “After an investigation, officers determined the community was not in danger and arrested Catharine Redden for false reporting of placing explosive and weapons of mass destruction.”
