Less than 200 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Mississippi State Department of Health this morning.
With 182 new cases, the state’s total number of COVID-19 cases now rests at 10,090. 8 additional deaths were reported this morning, meaning that 465 Mississippians have passed away due to the virus.
Tuesday, Governor Tate Reeves announced additional social distancing guidelines for 7 counties that have been identified as hotspots.
Attala, Leake, Scott, Jasper, Neshoba, Newton, and Lauderdale Counties.
As of Monday, 6,268 Mississippians had recovered from COVID-19.
