The 15th annual Renaissance EuroFest Classic European Auto and Motorcycle Show has kicked off in Ridgeland, with the two-day event set to display hundreds of classic cars from across the nation.
Attendees are invited to enjoy a rare opportunity to see numerous British, Italian, German, and many other European vehicles congregating in the Magnolia State.
Brands such as Rolls-Royce, Volkswagen, Ferrari, Porsche, Land Rover, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Daimler, Jaguar, Norton, Ducati, Royal Enfield, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are on full display.
Mike Marsh, Founder and Director of the Renaissance EuroFest, explained that there are two different classes of cars shown at the auto show.
“A car that is 25 years or older is called ‘vintage class’ and then we have cars of special interest that are newer that are some of the supercars that are limited production, may have some sort of prominence, may have been raced, something like that,” Marsh said.
Marsh added that this year’s EuroFest is anticipated to have hundreds of registered and unregistered vehicles located throughout the Renaissance at Colony Park on Friday and Saturday.
“That first year, I think we had about 50 cars,” Marsh stated. “This year, we’ve got 124 entered and in addition to the cars that are judged that are parked in the interior of the Renaissance, we’ll have another 50 to 100 cars on the east side of the Renaissance out on the lawn that are not judged, they’re just just gathered.”
