GREENWOOD Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Transportation has reported icy conditions in 38 different counties in Mississippi. The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) has responded to over 156 accidents between midnight at noon Tuesday. Among the accidents, MHP spokesperson Warren Strain said one person has died on U.S. 35 near Greenwood.
They are still investigating.
