MCCOMB, Miss. — He went looking for his son. That is what cops say Kenneth Thompson left to do before his body was found in a shallow grave with a stab wound to the neck in McComb over the weekend.
Greg Fortenberry, LeJerrious Perkins and the son he was looking for, 14-year-old Blake Thompson, have been charged with murder. Blake Thompson will be tried as an adult
Their affidavits filed in Pike County Justice Court say the three schemed to kill Kenneth Thompson. Then Jasper Pittman helped them hide the body and burn Thompson’s pickup truck in order hide the evidence.
It also says Pittman engaged in sexual acts with the 14-year-old. Pittman has since been fired from the Brookhaven police force.
Their preliminary hearing is set for September 10.
