JACKSON, Miss. – Bishop Joseph Kopacz was ordained Thursday as the Catholic Diocese of Jackson’s eleventh Bishop. Catholics from across the country came to show their support at St. Peters Catholic Cathedral in Jackson. Kopacz previously lead at the diocese of Scranton and was appointed to head the Jackson Diocese by Pope Francis.
Kopacz replaces Bishop Joseph Latino who had to retire because he turned 75-years-old.
