Federal authorities are offering a hefty reward for information leading to the arrest of an escaped inmate out of DeSoto County.
According to Sheriff Thomas Tuggle, Joshua James Zimmerman, an inmate at the Desoto County Adult Detention Center, evaded police custody at the courthouse on Friday. He is still on the run and considered dangerous.
Zimmerman was scheduled to appear in court for a hearing after being arrested in Southaven and charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder. He also faces charges out of Houston, Texas where he was allegedly involved in the shooting death of a woman.
Anyone with information that could help law enforcement find and detain Zimmerman could earn up to $10,000 from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Anyone caught aiding the escaped inmate will be charged with a felony. The public is urged to avoid him if spotted and call law enforcement immediately.
